Our client is looking for a Senior Ruby Engineer to join a fast-growing, international technology company building a high-traffic AI-powered consumer product used by millions of users worldwide.

This is a fully remote, hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working at scale, taking ownership, and solving challenging backend problems in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience building and operating high-traffic, scalable production systems
  • Strong understanding of web fundamentals, backend architecture, and performance optimisation
  • Experience with monolithic architectures and/or scaling challenges
  • Proven ability to take ownership and make technical decisions independently
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is highly desirable
  • Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Actively uses AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar in development
