This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a multi-discipline, dynamic work environment with potential to travel offshore.Day-to-day of the role:* Conduct full assessments and reports on valves, dismantle and troubleshoot issues to find root causes and solutions.* Perform Hydrostatic and Gas pressure testing of valves according to client specifications and internal procedures.* Identify and list spare requirements during strip and inspection processes.* Overhaul and test a wide range of valves and actuators, including ball valves, butterfly valves, and control panels.* Operate overhead gantry, jib cranes, and forklifts safely on a daily basis.* Build control panels and perform pipe work including leak testing.* Calibrate control valve positioners and generate test certifications for review and authorisation.* Collaborate with the Production Controller to pass on reports for spares/overhaul quotations to the sales team.* Assist in training Apprentice Valve Technicians and participate in workshop and witness inspections.* Perform stock taking and control, assist with quality control checks, and organise transportation as needed.* Work onshore, offshore, and visit client sites as required.Required Skills & Qualifications:* Proven experience as a Valve Technician or similar role.* Familiarity with a variety of valves and actuators, including safety and control systems.
