Electrical Fitter - Switchgear

First Achieve Engineering are working in partnership with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Fitter with a strong switchgear background to join a well-established business delivering high-quality electrical distribution and switchgear solutions.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, wiring, and testing support of electrical switchgear systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This role is ideally suited to a time-served Electrical Fitter with extensive switchgear experience and the ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical fitting, assembly, and wiring of switchgear systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Assemble and wire electrical switchgear to specification
  • Support installation, refurbishment, and modification of switchgear equipment
  • Carry out fault finding and assist with testing activities where required
  • Use electrical tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with engineering drawings and company standards
  • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health & safety compliance
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, fitters, and production teams to meet project deadlines

What We're Looking For
