Hire Controller - Plant Operations
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £30,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a proactive Hire Controller to join their Plant Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for customer service to take ownership of the end-to-end hire process, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing timely solutions and support.

  • Coordinate hire bookings, including contracts, delivery, and collection documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records of hire activity in CRM and hire management systems.

  • Support the depot workshop team with administrative tasks and operational processes.

  • Assist with sales growth by converting enquiries into hires and maintaining client relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and GDPR requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Experience with CRM systems or hire management software is an advantage.

  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
