Public Sector Presales Manager
On behalf our partner, a leading global software solutions provider with strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, America, Asia and Africa, we are looking for a Presales Manager to join their team in Athens. This position is focused on the Greek public sector and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of public services by identifying and designing software solutions in government and public authorities.
The public sector Presales Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the presales team supporting public sector projects and clients. The role includes strategic planning, development of high-quality technical and commercial proposals, sales support for tender processes, and ensuring full compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and execute presales strategy for the public sector in alignment with the sales department
- Conduct and propose use-cases addressing various public sector needs
- Analyze and document technical solutions and requirements
- Participate in customer meetings to identify needs and present proposed solutions
- Conduct prospective projects' pre-costing, P&L and pricing; complete tenders' financial sections
- Respond to RFP's/RFQ's
- Establish timelines and task ownership for each tender response
- Ensure compliance with technical, legal, and procurement requirements
- Review completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness of submissions
- Integrate innovative elements (e.g., Cloud, AI, Cybersecurity) into proposals
- Assess and mitigate risks related to contractual terms, timelines, and technical specifications
- Track trends, regulatory changes, and upcoming public tenders
- Identify opportunities through platforms such as ESIDIS and EU-funded programs
- Define strategic positioning for proposed solutions in competitive bids
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns
- Work closely with Technical Director, Account Managers, and Delivery Director to ensure optimal solution design and positioning
- Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate the presales team
- Assign tasks, manage workload distribution, and monitor performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Presales or Solution Consulting, including at least 3 years in a leadership position
- Proven knowledge of public sector tender procedures (ESIDIS, RFPs, RFQs)
- Experience in drafting technical proposals and conducting solution presentations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and bid management tools
- Fluency in Greek and English
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or e-Government solutions
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or formal Presales methodologies will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies and Cybersecurity frameworks will be considered a plus
