Mechanical Technician First Achieve Engineering are supporting a key client in the recruitment of a Mechanical Technician. This role is central to delivering high-quality rotating equipment maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on a large industrial site. The position involves carrying out removal, strip-down, inspection, repair, rebuild, installation, and commissioning of a wide variety of rotating and mechanical equipment as part of both corrective and preventative maintenance. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out strip-down, inspection, repair, reassembly, and commissioning of rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, turbines, valves, and electric motors.Complete all required documentation including strip-down reports, rebuild records, dimensional checks, tolerances and clearance measurements.Follow technical method statements and be able to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Work in full compliance with site HSEQ procedures and safety systems.Participate in risk assessments, site inductions, toolbox talks, and follow permit-to-work requirements at all times.Report any safety concerns, near misses, incidents, or issues promptly.Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring the site and workshop are inspection-ready at all times.
