Are you an experienced Plant Fitter who enjoys variety in your work? We're looking for a skilled technician to join our team in Nairn, combining workshop-based repairs with on-site field service support across the region.

You'll play a vital role in keeping our fleet of plant hire equipment operating safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards - ensuring our customers can rely on every machine we provide.


🛠️ What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on a range of plant hire machinery.

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and inspections in both workshop and field environments.

  • Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs to minimise downtime.

  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and job reports.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates and technical insight.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and regulatory standards.

  • Support a proactive maintenance culture, identifying issues before they become major problems.


✅ What We're Looking For

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, HND or equivalent).

  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing plant machinery or similar heavy equipment.

  • Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently in the field.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

  • A full UK driving licence and a strong commitment to Health & Safety.
