First Achieve are working with a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment, renowned for their high-quality production standards, who are looking to add a Sand Blaster to their team.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Working to production deadlines and schedules
Picking kits of parts from a checklist
Loading and unloading items requiring blasting
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Carrying out basic equipment maintenance (filters, nozzles, dust extraction units, etc.)
Ensuring correct use of safety equipment at all times
Following company procedures and policies
Communicating effectively with colleagues
✅ Skills & Experience:
Previous sand blasting experience desirable (training can be provided)
Valid forklift licence desirable
Overhead crane experience advantageous
Strong communication skills
A positive, "can-do" attitude
No prior experience required → They're open to training someone new, but the person must be willing to do physical, hands-on, dirty work (shot blasting is noisy, dusty, and involves protective gear).
Mechanical ability beneficial → The role includes basic equipment maintenance (changing filters, checking nozzles, keeping machines running). You don't need to be a mechanic, but some confidence with tools and machinery helps.
Organised & self-starter → They won't have someone constantly directing them. They need to prepare their own work (picking the right parts, racking them up, managing their own blasting schedule). So the employer wants someone reliable who can just get on with the job.
