Location: UK-Wide (Company Van Provided)
Salary: Up to £20 per hour + Overtime
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (No weekends unless agreed as OT)

First Achieve Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer in the recovery vehicle industry. We're currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing Service Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and working hands-on with advanced vehicle systems across the UK.


Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in carrying out warranty and service repairs on recovery vehicles. This includes working on-site at customer premises across the UK, as well as providing vital support to the internal Service Team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations nationwide to perform warranty repairs and diagnostics.

  • Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical components, and electrical systems.

  • Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and servicing to high standards.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex faults across multi-system recovery vehicles.

  • Deliver first-class customer service and technical support both in the field and on-site.

  • Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with the Service Manager.


What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician (or demonstrable experience)

  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical systems

  • Proven background working on HGVs or similar heavy vehicles

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Flexibility to travel and work overtime when required

  • Class 1 licence desirable but not essential
