The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Visual Inspector, to join our team based in Glasgow. The function of the role is to meticulously examine components to verify conformity to specific customer requirements in an efficient and effective manner. This includes visual inspection and dimensional verification using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauging) ensuring all inspection activities are recorded. Identify and document non-conformances, initiating NCRs as required. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. Work with Quality, Production & Engineering to solve quality issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
The role is Monday to Friday, day shift & night shift working is required.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
CMM awareness - setting, interpretation & reporting
Equipment calibration
Manual measuring equipment
Manual handling incl. usage of slings and lifting equipment

Auditing experience in a similar environment
