Quality Inspector/H&S Representative - Engineering | LanarkshireAn established global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of equipment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector/H&S Representative to join their team in Lanarkshire.With over 50 years of industry experience, the company supports advanced thermal processing technology used in critical applications worldwide. About the Role: This is a hands-on quality inspection role covering both vendor and in-house manufacturing operations. The role will involve inspecting incoming goods, in-process inspections on the shop floor, and supporting quality activities across the vendor base. Key Responsibilities:Inspection of incoming engineering components and fabricated partsReviewing weldments and machined items in materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and industrial plasticsConducting in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet drawing specifications and quality standardsUsing precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and verniersVerifying dimensions, surface finish, and completeness of assemblies. Health & Safety ResponsibilitiesOversee daily Health & Safety operations, ensuring full compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to manage and maintain the annual H&S planner, ensuring all scheduled activities are completed within agreed timelines and involving relevant departments as necessary.Take ownership of promoting and continuously enhancing the company's Health & Safety culture and performance.
