Introducing the newest member of the First Achieve family...

She’s the former Cheer Captain, with a deep love of the film Labyrinth, and a strange fascination with criminology. Please give a warm welcome to the latest addition to the First Achieve family, Contract Recruitment Consultant, Sarah Foster.

Hi Sarah, we’ll go straight in, with, what was your previous job?

I’ve always worked in contract and temporary recruitment, but the sector changes. I’ve previously worked in finance and housing.

Do you remember the first role you filled?

I do, actually! It was for a support worker. That same candidate sent me a postcard when she went on holiday, a couple of years later, she was lovely.

You must have made a good impression, is that best part of your job?

Yes, it’s all about meeting and getting to know lots of different people and helping them find the right fit. I love it.

That’s what we like to hear! Do you live in Manchester?

No, I live near Bolton, so I spend most of my commute online shopping!

When you venture further afield, what’s your holiday drink of choice?

It’s called a Miami Vice. It’s a Pina colada and a strawberry daiquiri mixed together and frozen. It sounds weird. But it’s amazing! I had it in Mexico.

You chose a line from Labyrinth as your favourite quote, how many times have you watched the film?

I literally couldn’t tell you. I started watching it probably far too young, I think I was about five. It was on a tape with the BFG and I used to fast forward BFG and just watch Labyrinth over and over again.  I wanted to name my dog Ludo, but my boyfriend Adam wouldn’t let me, he hates the film!

Oh no! What did you name your dog instead?

He’s called Freddie after Freddie Mercury! We were driving back from picking him up and couldn’t agree on what to call him. Queen came on the radio, so Adam decided he was going to be named Freddie.

Aside from watching Labyrinth, what do you do when you’re not at work?

Other than walking the dog, I watch a lot of true crime programmes. I’m fascinated by criminology. When I was little, I used to get my mum to drive me past Strangeways [prison] to see if I could see anyone!

Speaking of prisons, what would your death-row meal be?

Oo something big and meaty, with potatoes, and bread and butter, because you can’t go wrong with bread and butter! Oh, and definitely sticky toffee pudding for dessert, it’s my favourite.

Finally, sticking with the food theme, which three celebrities, alive or dead would you invite to a dinner party?

[Absolutely no hesitation] Dwayne Johnson [aka The Rock] and Jason Momoa!

I was thinking of David Bowie as the third, but I’m not sure he’d have much to talk about with the other two, plus you’d need so much food to feed the two of them. I think I’m just going to keep it to Dwayne, Jason, and me, I don’t really want to share them!

So, there you have it, we’re delighted to have Sarah on board. Sarah regularly recruits for contract vacancies which are just waiting for the ideal candidate. Give us a call on 01617910678, or drop us an email at [email protected].
