First Achieve Manchester Network at ICE London

At First Achieve, we are always looking for networking opportunities and, when it comes to technology, they don’t come much bigger than ICE London.

The annual three-day event, held at ExCel London Centre in February, is the self-described ‘benchmark and driver of the B2B Gaming industry's international growth’ and is populated by the biggest names in digital.

This year’s speakers included: Andy Wright, Trading Director at Sky Betting and Gaming, Ben Marley, Head of Market Development at Feefo, and Camilla Rosenberg, CEO at the Swedish Gambling Authority.

Three of First Achieve Manchester’s team, Lead Recruitment Consultant Allan Stevenson, Recruitment Consultant James Harries, and Contract Recruitment Consultant Sarah Foster, were in attendance on day two.

Sarah said: “We work with a lot of digital companies, and we pride ourselves on being as informed as possible regarding their needs.

“It was, therefore, beneficial for us to attend, to gain a greater understanding of what the requirements are within the technology and gaming market.

“In addition, two of our trusted partner companies, ActiveWin Media, and Degree53 were in attendance, so it was good to stop by their stand to show support.”

ICE London took place from the 5th to the 7th of February this year, with more than 600 exhibitors, from 67 nations, and some 30,000 attendees, making it the largest event of its kind so far.

Highlights included ICE VOX – a series of seven conferences covering such diverse subjects as Cybercrime and Security, eSports, International Casino, Modernising Lotteries, World Regulatory Briefing, Advertising and Marketing and Artificial Intelligence, which were new to the line-up this year.

The centre played host to some spectacular displays from gaming giants such as Playtech and SG Gaming, but it wasn’t all bells and whistles.

A focus on social responsibility was in evidence, with a Consumer Protection Zone featuring the industry’s most responsible gaming organisations. The global opportunities in eSports was another hot topic.

An official ICE London networking app was also available for use before and during the event.

You don’t need to wait for an official conference to find out how First Achieve recruitment could improve your business, though.
